Mono II was a temporary outdoor art installation, and is a piece in a sculptural series involving minimal abstract forms. It is constructed of a mesh fabric skin (hand-dyed, each corner turned with a flat-felled seam-- a durable and decorative fabric joint), stretched over a welded steel frame. Mono II was awarded first place in the Georgia State University Sculpture Garden Competition, and was installed at the corner of Peachtree Center Avenue and Gilmer Street in Downtown Atlanta.
